About

Hi, I'm Bernard Hiew, raised and born from a beautiful island of Penang in Malaysia. My blog is about being an avid maker. I love to get my hands dirty, discovering new things and curious about how things work. Electronics has been part of my life since I was 12 years old. It started with a LED and batteries. Since then, I love building projects and spent most of my childhood savings in electronic hobby kits, magazines and books. Aside building projects, I love to salvage, fix and taking things apart. My favorite electronic magazines are Elektor, Everyday Practical Electronics, Circuit Cellar, Nuts and Volts and recently the Make magazine. I've a little humble workspace at home where I spent on building projects and work. I'm currently working in a multi-national company as a electronics design and development engineer in Penang. At the same I'm actively volunteering in Penang Science Cluster, a NGO promoting science and engineering in my community.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Feel free to write me comments, suggestions and ideas. You can reach me through email in Contact page. Have a great day!
